Well what can you say, we decided to go to Calais for the day in January, we stayed near Canterbury for a couple of nights and explored from there....this was also a good chance to use the digital camera... 

By now we had exhausted the supply of things to do in Calais so after some shooping for wine and cheese as usual we retired to the pub. 

Up early the next day we made for Folkestone and found a Russian submarine moored up in the harbour that you could go and look around. If you like the photos here then have a look at their website. It ha loads of information on the history of the submarine and stuff.

It is well worth a look round if you like that kind of thing but it always surprises me how many people lived and worked in such a confined space....
